There are some great comedic duos in the modern age of cinema, but there are few that rival the love and success that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly have managed to obtain. The pair have been wanting to team up again for quite some time, and they finally are. It isn't for a Step Brothers sequel though, as one might expect. Ferrell and Reilly will be taking on the classic duo of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson with the new movie Holmes & Watson.
The news comes courtesy of Deadline and reveals that the new movie is happening over at Sony Pictures. Holmes & Watson is said to be taking on the characters made famous by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but will be putting a PG-13 comedic spin on it. Ferrell will be re-teaming with another recent collaborator, as the report also notes that Etan Cohen will be directing the movie, »

Director Sanaa Hamri landed her first executive producer credit on “Empire” — the top drama on network television. An alum of “Shameless,” “Elementary” and “Nashville,” who also helmed the sequel to “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” Hamri says the ratings and accolades are just gravy. “Of course there’s a lot of pressure,” she says, “but the pressure and loyalty is to the show itself and making it the best that we can.”
Why has “Empire” clicked with audiences?
Music, to me, is an important element because music is really the rhythm of our lives. We can all love a song and it doesn’t matter what walk of life or socioeconomic background we’re from.
“Empire” is broadcast’s top show. Is there pressure to keep the viewers watching?
I’m not focused on that so much as really creating the best show and the best episode that we can. »

Last month, CBS announced the renewals of 11 shows, including hits such as Survivor, Elementary, 2 Broke Girls and more, with shows such as The Big Bang Theory and NCIS already picked up for new seasons. One of the most glaring omissions in the network's slate of renewals was the freshman superhero series Supergirl, which has been faring quite well in the ratings in its Monday night 8 Pm time slot. As it turns out, there was a reason that the show wasn't announced for a Season 2 pickup, because the show is shifting to The CW Network this fall.
There had long been rumors that the show would eventually end up at The CW, which is co-owned by both CBS and Warner Bros., since The CW currently airs a trio of hit superhero shows, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, the later of which debuted in January. Variety reports that CBS chairman »
