Did You Know?

Luke Dunphy: I am so sick of you two fighting all the time! You're a bad big sister, and you're a bad little sister! And you're both bad big sisters to me! Be normaler.
[goes back to his room]
Haley Dunphy: Wow.
Alex Dunphy: I've never seen him like that.
Haley Dunphy: Well, we do kind of neglect him. And if you think about it, he is kind of our little sister.
Alex Dunphy: Remember how we used to dress him up?
Haley Dunphy: I miss her.
Haley Dunphy: I hear you, and I don't like where this is going!
Haley Dunphy: You get the lipstick, I'll get the bra and tennis balls.
Luke Dunphy: [singsong] Betty Luke!

Amazing choreography of ideas & humor
11 February 2012 | by See all my reviews

I have been a Modern Family fan since day one, but this episode really struck home for me in the way that we misjudge people even though we have the best intentions. The orchestration of the jokes was seamless and the overall sentiment was super sweet. After the moral equivalence is established between the behavior of Gloria and Manny's friend, the make up scene in the kitchen tango between Cameron and Gloria is amazing -- you don't need to have worked in a professional kitchen to appreciate what the writer was trying to accomplish -- sometimes in life we run on all cylinders and our fully charged hybrid battery. The dressing up of Luke was adorable. More of this please! Phil's last line to Claire, saying she could fake anything but "You can't fake your laugh!" was super sweet.
