This episode sees the gang in trouble again; this time from a corrupt police inspector names Fisk who has taken a bribe to put Mickey behind bars. Meanwhile the team are targeting a woman who is in effect running a protection racket by ensuring restaurateurs who don't pay her get terrible write-ups on her influential restaurant review website. The scam involves letting her believe she has inherited a valuable property which has some debts attached to it. While the con is going on Fisk has blackmailed an old friend of Sean and Emma into bumping into Sean and infiltrating the group. Things get worse when Fisk arrests Emma on a trumped up drugs charge; he tries to get Mickey to pay for her release but he refuses; Sean might be persuaded to betray Mickey in return for his sister's release though. When it comes time to get the mark's money it looks like it is all over for Mickey as Fisk bursts into the meeting and catches him with an envelope full of cash and arrests him
of course this being Hustle is anything quite what it seems?
This was another enjoyable episode; normally I have some idea how it will work out but this time I missed almost all of the twists making the final reveal all the more enjoyable. The regulars did a good job as usual as did guest stars Patrick Baladi, Nina Sosanya and Skye Lourie as Fisk, the crooked reviewer and Sean's friend Kat.
