As I understand it, having listened to the commentary track on the first disk with the pilot episode, the next episode is the one in which we return to the present (as seen in the pilot, where "Daniel gets shot" (most definitely not! but that's another story)) so this one now sets the scene for the events leading up to the big doomed event.
Another great episode with good performances by all. I'm very partial to Charlotte (Crista B. Allen) and it's another fine turn by her.
The weak point in this whole she-bang is the 'Amanda' character. She stretches credibility. As cute as Margarita Levieva is, the plot holes, not to mention the confusion caused by this one- too-many Amandas (Emily's real identity, + the child Amanda, + the boat 'Amanda') helps to wreck the show, because I keep thinking that this Amanda would have given the game away very soon. After all, she's a total "Me" generation character with scant regard for others and no real reason to cooperate with Emily. To me she is one big flaw in the plot (I don't mean you, Margarita) and the more I watch, the more I scoff.
