James Avalon made this Sweet Sinner romantic drama on auto-pilot, with an uninteresting script designed to merely set assembly-line porn in a familiar dramatic setting. As usual, the babes bail him out.
Delightful French import Angell Summers, an underrated performer whose alabaster skin and otherwise pristine appearance remain refreshing in the "used up" look of most feminine porn warriors, comes to live in America (Chatsworth to be exact) with teacher Evan Stone and his lovely wife Julia Ann, it being intimated that they need the money the program provides.
Their daughter Lily Labeau is none too happy with the arrangement, forced to share her bedroom with a beautiful stranger. I foolishly thought lesbian action of Angell with Lily would result, but no such luck.
Instead Avalon paints by numbers: Stone f*cks his wife to get the video rolling, followed by Lily and boyfriend Chad Alva (in his long-haired version back then) humping in the bedroom while guest Summers takes a shower.
Then Angell easily seduces Stone in the kitchen, and the flimsy film ends (or open-ends) with Angell seducing Chad in the bathroom. That leaves both Julia Ann and Lily hanging in the wind. Summers' insouciant, matter-of-fact approach to sex with everybody is delightful, and wasted in such a straight-forward, no twists or matters of interest Avalon screenplay. Stone overacts and clearly doesn't take the assignment seriously, and all the players "open up" to the camera in usual porn fashion, unlike the naturalism that Sweet Sinner has ordinarily emphasized in its decade of quality Adult entertainment.
In the BTS short subject, filmmaker James Avalon intimates that there will be series follow-ups to this story, after its ending on an unfinished note. Unfortunately, only Evan Stone returns from the cast in the fourth volume, with Angell sent back to Paris after her brief Chatsworth career, perhaps unable to get a Green Card to continue Adult employment in the States.
