Jin-ah, the former leader of once popular girl band "Purple," hosts a radio show called "Wonderful Radio." When the producer of the program is sacked over low ratings, a new guy comes in to fill his shoes. Jae-hyeok is a cold, unfriendly man who only drinks iced coffee even in the winter. The easily irritable man and the conceited former diva are bound to get on each other's nerves at every corner. Written by Stanislav S, Sochi, Russia
"Wonderful Radio," uses a few ideas from the blockbuster "Speedy Scandal," and the popular drama "The Greatest Love." This, and having Lee Min Jung as the female lead may seem like a prosperous combination. And it was, by performing fairly in theaters. Yet, what a disappointment.
The plot is weak. The characters are elementary. Chemistry between the two leads is not there. The story is not believable, and the ideas are not original.
With all said, the film is not a total loss. There are some adorable scenes and light humor. However, if you are not a fan of Lee Min Jung, avoid this b-flick.
