Not standalone; incoherent episode 6 relies on #5 for background
The brief recap of Episode 5 is not sufficient to view "Lesbian Triangles Episode 6", merely a continuation of the action. Even the storyline here is inconsistent and reduces the show to merely all-sex territory.
I blame economics on this failure, as clearly Girlfriends Films decided to save a buck and create 2-fers: looking ahead the Episodes 7 & 8 have the same cast and are obviously linked together too. This sacrifice of artistry for efficiency would have made more sense had the Lesbian Cinema revolution occurred a decade or two earlier, as in the VHS '80s a fine cut running 6 hours would have generated four separate videos as opposed to these 3-hour DVD marathons.
Erica is a woman with a broad smile and sunny disposition that Deauxma picks up in a bar (from Episode 5). The battle of the big breasts between them is a crowd- pleasing opening vignette, climaxing predictably with Deauxma's patented squirting. Big D squirts again in the finale featuring perhaps winner of breast in show Bibette, an old pal of hers. Significantly, alert viewers will see Bibette carefully getting out of the way whenever Deauxma wets the bed with one of her orgasmic displays, not as fond of the urine fetish as some of her peers in the Adult industry.
Along the way the meat of the drama is D's conflict with diminutive girlfriend Lone Star, who we saw visit her and move in back in Episode 5. I was distressed at the sloppiness of the narrative here, betraying a common porn practice of shooting "scenes" rather than features and then packaging the results in feature-length compilations.
D & Lone have a falling out as D essentially gives her the brushoff (after some torrid sack action back in Episode 5), and Lone naturally complains about having trekked a long way to be with her and then been given the runaround. After their fight, the finale trip to see Bibette is presented without fanfare as Lone tags along for the ride and of course incites immediate jealousy from Bibette on the order of "what's she doing here with you" regarding the uninvited guest. The loyal Girlfriends audience is supposed to buy this turn of events without question, but I found it completely artificial and unconvincing. If the anonymous auteur (let's call him Girlfriends head honcho Dan O'Connell), wanted the final scene to play, then he should have deleted the earlier short scene of D & Lone fighting for it to make any sense that they would travel together.
Similarly, an ongoing soap opera subplot concerning Erica's half-sister Lily Redd, is very poorly handled here. Basically, we see Lily bed down with Lone, just another complication and excuse for Lesbian XXX action.
Overlong sex scenes (30 to 50 minutes each) are okay but the very butch and quite unattractive Zander Lin coupling with beautiful Erica was a half hour of bad road for me to sit through.
