Max and Oskar go to the movies and there are early signs of celebrity worship.
Oskar is enamoured by rising silent movie actress Ida Rego. Max is a special guest at the premiere of her latest film as he knows her. Only during the film Ida dies of arsenic poisoning.
It comes to light that she had been previously been treated by Max and Professor Neumann at a clinic.
As Oskar investigates both he and Max upset a visiting American politician Senator Paul Adler. It laters turns out that Adler has links with a right wing anti immigration movement in Austria.
Meanwhile Max and Professor Neumann have never go on so he invites the professor for dinner with his family. Only Leah Liebermann seems smitten with Neumann.
It was set up to be a cracking episode with the revelation that Ida Rego was a spy set up to become involved with the dubious American Senator.
I found the resolution to be disappointing. Not exactly a bolt out of the blue but the prominence given to once character in this story hinted at something sinister.
