First Enjoyable Episode of Season 4
onikage-493246 February 2023
I'll give this episode lots of credit. It has a good amount of tension-building and one intentionally hilarious moment. The issue, unfortunately, is that the "tense" parts are tropes that have been done so often in TV and Movies that "Good" is the highest praise they deserve.

How often have we seen these play out: 1. Character searching possible bad guys' stuff with "Will he get caught?" anxiety 2. Séance that seems Fake at first but suddenly gets intense when it becomes Real.

Also its really disappointing that the show is literally redoing Leeane's situation from the first half of Season 3: She's paranoid of Cultists getting in the home and everyone thinks she's too worried.

Leeane is being forced into a villian because of the way she's treated and apparently Sean is who we're supposed to be rooting for now I guess? But they tried this in Season 2 and they failed so better luck to them this time!

The new servants

Warning: Spoilers
So we get introduced of two servants who will helped Dorothy. Leanne will get worried about them because she thinks they belonged to the cult. So the investigations begin and they seem not to be part of the cult but we dont really know. Dorothy will be able to stand up but not to walk. At the end, the two new servants will make a weird session that will force Leanne to know if they are from the cult or no.

Im pretty not convinced about the episode. The two servants are pretty interesting and will make us more interested and bring another perspectives. Some scenes maked me laugh: the Dildo scene. But i really feel more and more that the episode is just an excuse to make camera movements; i dont really know but i feel that they just more interested in the technique side of the episode than the story or characters. I enjoyed the cinematography but The story dont really go forward and we are just trapped with Leanne and her paranoid mind, Julian, Sean and his kitchen and the two servants. I hope they know where are they going because some things dont really feel coherent and the weird sands scenes that we saw in the building make me think that the show will go less and less coherent but its just an impression now. Need to see more.

Episode 403

Warning: Spoilers
Is Servant officially back? Because we have two good episodes back to back which is better than a lot of shows have given us.

I predicted the exact joke Julian would make about the nurses being the girls from The Shining, not sure if that makes me lame or smart.

But this was just highly entertaining. The more combative Leanne we have gotten has been a treat this season and I am disappointed that this for sure is the final season of the show. It seems like they had run out of ideas at points last year, definitely at points even in season two, but now I really don't want the show to end because there is so much potential here.
