Dance! Dance! Dance! dance the Carlton dance! Warning: Spoilers
"The Carlton Dance" is a little live action short film from 2012, so not particularly recent and maybe if you are a fan of the series "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", then you recognize the reference in the title. Honestly I am not, but I read what this is all about and I wonder if those who indeed like the show know what this title stands for. But it doesn't matter that much. Fact is this is one of the really rare filmmaking efforts by writer and director Daniel Spink, who is usually a prolific actor. He also acts in here. Next to him you will find over 30 celebrities performing the dance mentioned in the title. Admittedly, "celebrities" is a relatively vague description here because honestly many of them are far from famous. I would say that I know many celebrities despite not being American, but many of the ones included in here were totally new to me. It says it all perhaps that adult film legend Ron Jeremy is already among the more known we have. David Hasselhoff is in it too, probably because he worked with Spink before that. Chris Evans is perhaps the biggest name from the cast. The rest of the names I won't mention as you can check out the cast list for yourself here on imdb or just wait till the end when the closing credits roll in around the 3:30-minute mark. Yep these credits are very long for a film that runs for 4 minutes 15 seconds approximately. Overall, I don't think this is even a good watch if you love one or two of the cast members we have here. Maybe it is a good watch if you consider the dance mentioned int he title somewhat funny or even epic and enjoyed (it on) the show it stems from. The cast members are pretty much all of them gone after a couple seconds anyway, so not a reason to watch for them. I personally don't think it is a failure and actually when we hear the protagonist utter the words from the title, it is somewhat funny in an awkward fashion. But that alone of course is not enough for a positive recommendation. Not a failure, but I suggest you watch something else instead.
