Storyline

Kyle just can't convince his grandmother Sheila, who openly prefers Kate, to consider Jade his partner of choice. Lou cashes in on naive, rich dance class partner Vera, but Sheila smells a rat. Tash wins the waitress job at Charlie's, but when manager Celeste learns about Kate's administrative skills he hires her as daily pub manager, hence Tash's boss, impressing ex-waitress Sheile even more. Everyone congratulates Sonya on her surprising pregnancy, over-enthusiastically, then backs down at Toadie's request, but she's now ready to celebrate their luck.

"That's great, starting at the top"

So, after episode after episode of Kate and Tasha sniping at each other in Charlie's, the resolution is...they get to carry on sniping at each other in Charlie's.Hopefully the show will resist the temptation to go in that direction, since there's a potential for a good relationship there if it doesn't get taken too far as it often has been recently.

Talking of going too far, Lou cons a large amount of money out of Vera here in a way that makes for very uncomfortable viewing.The writers seem to be doing a very good job of making sure that a character who was already past his sell by date is well and truly ruined.

What else?Sheila butts heads with Jade and dotes over Kate again.And there's a "comic" misunderstanding of Sonya deciding she wants to talk to everyone about the baby at the same time as Toadie tells everyone not to talk to her about the baby, a one-joke idea that gets strangled at birth by the use of Susan being portrayed as "the one who knows" even though it comes across as "irritating and presumptuous".
