On this telecast, Art Carney spoofs newsman Edward R. Murrow by interviewing Reginald Van Gleason III for the program 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Rowdy.'
We learn that the Van Gleasons live in a townhouse in New York City that runs from the East 60s to 70s to 80s. It is also revealed that Reggie was in the military at Fort Dix but was discharged for going AWOL. He also discloses that he has a brother but that they do not get along. Zamah Cunningham resumes her customary role as Reggie's mother and sings an opera song for the fictional broadcast. Reggie introduces his servants and the June Taylor Dancers appear as Reggie's Little League team, whom he manages. In another sketch, the irritating Charlie Bratton gets his spineless co-worker Clem Finch into trouble by selling their boss's two tickets to the Broadway musical 'My Fair Lady' that Clem was supposed to return to the box office for the boss.
