The movie takes place in the middle of the war, could be unsettling for some.

Two characters are caught in a crossfire.

A man shoots another in the arm and is killed by return fire.

Nazi soldiers deliberately destroy collections of valuable art work for no other reason than to deny it to the enemy.

The Monuments Men discover in a cache of stolen artwork barrels of gold teeth, obviously extracted from the victims of the Nazi's death camps.

About 4 or 5 uses of God d*** and 3 or 4 uses of Jesus Christ. Several (3 - 5 each) uses of s*** and b****. Also several uses of "hell".

Use of slang terms for nationalities of others.

Constant smoking in all scenes by all characters. Several scenes countenancing the use of tobacco, however though the constant smoking may seem shocking, you have to remember it's from a time when the dangers of it were unknown.

Some drinking is depicted.

A man is found with his foot on a land mine. Although his friends attempts to prevent it from detonating fails, the explosion proves to be harmlessly underpowered due it to being previously damaged from fire.
