Prison inspector Rachel Kruger is murdered, along with young Nick Owen,a man she was visiting, whose computer is stolen.Inspector Bridges tells Leo she reckons Rachel's husband Peter killed his wife and her suspected lover but Peter claims that Rachel was in danger because she was investigating sinister events at Redhill prison, particularly the mysterious death of convict James Wade, and Leo believes him. The team joins the police investigation of Redhill, where governor Cairns is less than helpful and Rachel's original source,Dr Ross, too scared to speak out. But, unbeknown to the pathologists, Bridges knows far more than she is letting on. Written by don @ minifie-1

Very dark, gritty storyline.

Redhill Prison, convicted child killer James Wade dies in his cell seemingly natural causes. Leo is out for a drive and has a shocking encounter, he meets Rachel, a blood soaked woman who dies in his arms. Enquiries lead to a second victim, Nick Owens, Rachel's assistant. Rachel worked on the Prison review agency and was looking into Redhill, suspected dealing among the wardens. Leo learns an enquiry into Redhill was beginning, and that James Wade's death was murder. Wade's sister Miriam issues Harry with a warning not to let the Police influence their findings, she also shows him proof of Kesler's corrupt and criminal Police past. Redhill is a corrupt establishment, Warden Daniel Kessler is the man responsible for the huge drugs operation. On the case is DI Bridges, a single mum, who had history with Kesler.

Redhill is without a doubt one of the darkest stories ever in the show's history, we heard of the 'rape' but to be shown it at the end was perhaps a questionable choice, the whole sequence is rather tough to watch. It is not surprising the scenes generated hundreds of complaints. Series 15 in general was quite violent and graphic, it featured some very near the knuckle stories, Redhill very much being on of them.

The story itself is a very cleverly written one, it's logical and unravels well as the episode progresses, it's easy to follow. Leo's turmoil is particularly well played out, and William Gaminara's scenes with Jaye Griffiths are always wonderfully watchable.

Leo Gregory is very very good in this, he plays the part he's given with true competence and vigour. A difficult part, but he is a very talented actor.
