Shortly after dying in a car crash, Faith arrives in Heaven only to find it a barren wasteland, ruled by an evil arch angel. She then meets up with Judas, Thomas, and a team of rogue Apostles, armed to the teeth and dead set on finding an exiled Jesus Christ and restore him to power. By any means necessary. Written by
This movie really shows what you can do with a good script, good acting, and very little money.
I had pretty low expectations for the movie, but was pleasantly surprised to find myself quickly drawn in and thoroughly enjoying it. The plot is quite unique. As the synopsis says, Faith, a devout Christian, dies and finds herself in a rather disappointing "Heaven", where she is quickly caught up in a battle for its control.
The script is original and well-written, and the acting is quite good. There's a lot of humor and also a lot of pathos. Although clearly made on a low budget, the production value is surprisingly good. Luckily, Chicago and Northwest Indiana have no shortage of post-apocalyptic settings.
I really hope to see more from these guys.
