Cheesy but fun

The mystery-solving aspect of this episode is cheesy, but the second half is so much fun that it's easy to ignore. You gotta love it!

A Strange, Yet Enjoyable Episode
hornsbyhavoc16 June 2015
"Headhunters" is the third episode of Gravity Falls, and is another winner. When Soos accidentally opens a door at the beginning, Stan's long-forgotten wax figure collection is revealed, only for them to discover that the wax Abraham Lincoln, Stan's favorite, has melted. Seeing Stan's displeasure, Mabel resolves to make him a new one, and decides to build it in Stan's likeness. When the statue is found missing its head, however, the plot begins to thicken. With characters such as Toby Determined and Pizza Guy making their debuts in the show and Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland having their first speaking parts, and an unexpected, creepy twist, this episode is another warped yet funny and entertaining episode from creator Alex Hirsch. The villains in the episode are funny, creepy and fun to watch, and the fight scenes are enjoyable. Altogether, although this is probably the least-strong episode of the series so far (though it's not because this episode it bad; merely because the two preceding episodes were so good), its another fun episode in the series that, as usual, has one last mystery.

A great Epiosde with Coolio and Larry King.

Warning: Spoilers
Hey guys RegularShow1 here again and I'm going to review a episode of my favorite show "Gravity Falls" called "Headhunters" were Mabel make a wax sculpture of "Grunkle Stan" and "Dipper and Mabel" try to find who did it they go to see if the citizens of "Gravity Falls" did it. There a funny where a guy says sorry no miners and think it "Dipper and Mabel" but it actually a cold miner. Anyway "Dipper and Mabel" go to see if "Manly Dan" did it and then "Toby Determined" and a lot of other people. Anyway It turns out the "Wax Sculptures" who want revenge on "Grunkle Stan" and in the summary I put that "Coolio" and "Larry King" Guest star in this episode which is pretty cool. Anyway in the end "Dipper and Mabel" battle the "Wax Figures" and "Grunkle Stan" is wondering what just happen. Bottom Line: A another great episode of "Gravity Falls" and giving this episode a 10 out 10 stars. Anyway guys this RegualrShow1 signing off. PS Don't forget check out the next episode Tomorrow at 8:30ET/7:30CT. BYE.

10/10 Rating After Watching The Whole Series
jwade-921044 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
On the first watch, this episode is a silly, comedic episode. The kids solving a mystery about a statue with Stan's narcissism on full display as he falls in love with a wax figure of himself. However, after the reveal of Stan's twin brother Ford, who is presumably dead at the time, the episode takes on a whole new meaning. Stan's narcissism is no longer narcissism, it's a nostalgic love for his lost brother. When the wax figure dies, Stan feels as if he has lost his brother once more. And for the first time we see emotional Stan on display. This episode is incredibly well written in hindsight as it highlights events and trauma from Stan's past that the viewer does not even know.

Warning: Spoilers
The good episode was very funny. Congratulations to Disney. Dipper and Mabel are great. This whole piece was beautiful. Especially the piece that was looking for the killer of the statue, but we enjoyed it in general.
