Visiting the real Jane's alma mater, Stanford Law School, she and Grayson find themselves drawn pro-bono into an equally promising student's real court case claiming damages for the widow of a company's employee who died from asbestos poisoning. Their opponent is none other then Jane's former mentor, tort professor Ellen Daily. Parker's home team learns the hard way that new partner Gina is an untrustworthy career-wrecking bitch. Luke Daniels is railroaded into accompanying Stacy, who expects a glory event, to a tacky culinary 'awards dinner', but saves the day for her.
