Jim finds his favorite taco truck cook Tony Acosta, an ex-Navy Seal, dead in his food truck, fatally shot around dawn. He was on bad terms with some colleagues, all of whom were targeted by the boardwalk restaurants, whose cause to banish the trucks was championed by city councilman Greg Dousett, a known police supporter, who posed as Iraq marines veteran at a monument unveiling. Jim tries to dodge Jennifer Starke's observation of his sometimes to unorthodox methods and commiserates with Callie's tough time on Dr. Miranda Buckley's Atlanta hospital staff. When Jim serves Vanessa Russo with the search warrant, it states that it was issued by the United States Circuit Court. United States District and Circuit Courts only have jurisdiction over federal crimes, and the homicide in question would be a state crime; the warrant would have been issued by a Florida state circuit court.
