Sex & Nudity

  • Contains moderately strong sex and some sex references.
  • There are a number of sexual references throughout the work, though these lack strong detail. It is implied a teenage boy is having sex-chats with people on the internet (it is not clear if this is for money or pleasure). He is seen sitting in front of his computer screen without clothes on, though we do not see any clear nudity.
  • The strongest scene features a scene of sex between two partners in their home. The woman is seen lying back on the sofa while the man pulls down his underpants and trousers and thrusts into her. His bare buttocks are briefly seen as he thrusts, but aside from this there is no explicit nudity.
  • A man has a shower. We see him from the waist up. His naked form is seen, though detail is obscured by steamed-up glass.

Violence & Gore

  • Infrequent moderate violence. A father punches his teenage son in the face.
  • A group of men, looking for a lost teenager, threaten a man who they believe to be a 'perv'. They treat him aggressively.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The is a focus on smoking. Though not clearly condemned, it is portrayed as part of a man's character and the act of smoking is never glamorised.
  • Alcohol is seen to be consumed, but excessive consumption is portrayed as a negative aspect to a character's lifestyle.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Contains moderate threat and frightening scenes
  • A mayday celebration features people dressed in a manner that could be considered frightening. The way they are photographed deliberately evokes a sense of horror.
  • A construction in the woods features mutilated children's toys (e.g. dolls with their heads removed). It is deliberately depicted as an unsettling place.
