A Doctor, named Lambert is killed whilst at a club, the barman is also poisoned, but survives. Larry takes charge of the case, and Geordie is forced to desk duties. Will is becoming increasingly dependent on pills, and his behaviour becomes erratic.
I've been a little critical of this eighth series, but credit where it's due.
Easily the best episode from this somewhat below par eighth series, the story was way more interesting, and I didn't feel as though I was watching an soap opera, the last few were just too heavy on the melodrama.
Will's storyline was really interesting, although I'm a little concerned by the baby silence.
Larry won me over somewhat here, and I loved seeing Miss Scott having a more active role, even if it was an unlikely scenario for the time.
A really nice guest cast, how good was Brian Bovell, what a versatile actor.
I'm now excited for the series finale. Something has to happen to Geordie's boss.
8.5/10.
