Storyline

It all happened in one of the safest Somniupolis of the planet, inside one of the best-equipped and reliable mega-complexes - "Xonasu Area." As in the very beginning, and in the last few decades, all the systems had operated in nominal mode until the satellite network transferred an array of unclassified data to the central analytical cluster. According to the guidelines, the data were immediately isolated and sent to be re-evaluated in order to classify the registered events and to develop further options for protective and preventive efforts. A few days later, the tranquility of the sleeping "Xonasu" was torn apart by sharp, blazing fragments of multiple meteors. The area around the "Xonasu" faltered - a wave of interruptions and failures rapidly swept through the heart of its systems ... and one of the errors launched the sequence to awake the Supreme Operator of Xonasu. A little later - all was quiet and still. Written by Andrew Oudot

A calibre past technological
3 September 2013 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

For a mini series like this, a strange yet satisfying approach appealed to me when I watched each part. A magnate plant, holding thousands of people on life support, as well as deep psyche stimulation begins to break down at the seams. A particular operator named Xonasu had awoken prematurely because of the faltering systems within the complex.

Meteors were the cause, so now Xonasu has to find a way to stop the degradation before the sleeping citizens of earth die horrible deaths. Partnered with Xonasu is Piku, a small child who also had awoken prematurely, and a soldier who doesn't make his presence known until the last few episodes.

Since the inception of the plant, all natural resources across the globe dwindled down to just bare scraps. Man had depleted nearly all of it since the industrial age. More so than not, scientists all over the world strive to make a better place to live in. But in the midst of space, something called the manta arrived.

Now all on earth lived in underground facilities like the one Xonasu slept in. But with growing concerns from government officials about the sudden break down, they sent in Mr. Ken. A glorious warrior who uses not only a machine gun, but a rather razor sharp katana in case his gun jams, or loses it.

All in all, I thought this was a grand series. Seeing the aspects of pure, raw, and cold technology take over people's lives in place of natural means. A bitter, and often cruel look at how it is possible that one of these generations, will most likely grab, and hold on to nothing more than a computer chip.

The creators also has shown us how to instill human affection in the face of death, or danger. With Xonasu, although her strength, and agility in her mind was over the top, she found the means to encourage caring in the midst of the black nightmare that was manta.

And since her resolve is to help others, her way of doing things were no less than obvious to those around her. A message people, fool with mother nature too long, she'll find a way to screw you over a thousand times.

This is recommended to those over 12. There is no gore, blood or exploding bodies. It is riddled with mystic anagrams, some violence, and robots. A very human story, for a less human time.
