Fairly well-done, but...

Adam & Eve's parody of the hit tv series utilizes some talented actors for its casting and in imitating the show develops a fairly interesting story line. But unfortunately its sex scenes tend to dominate the action and some lousy attempts at comic relief end up sinking the project.

No denying that Eric Masterson creates a formidable J.R. Ewing, a man you love to hate. He also acquits himself well in the sack, humping Brooklyn Lee while defeating her in his in-fighting with both family members and hapless business colleagues.

Bobbi Starr is also effective as the family nympho while India Summer impresses as always in her slinkily sexy role opposite good guy in the cast James Deen. But Adam & Eve contract star Alexis Ford does a clumsy job "acting", turning the film for long stretches into merely a showcase for her sexual talents.

Why the production is sabotaged by failed humor, notably Ralph Long looking ridiculous in drag as family matriarch, shows how the basic notion of "porn-parody" is antithetical to making a good movie. Pornographers of this ilk, in particular director Andre Madness and producer David Lord, clearly have zero confidence in their audience, with these reminders that "it's just a parody".
