Tom doing a job for the church

I really could not buy the part of this story where Tom Selleck gets to do an investigation of a former priest being considered for canonization. With what he found out his cop instincts would have kicked in and someone would have been arrested.

The other main plot element involved Donnie Wahlberg having his cop instincts kick in when a heart attack is in fact a woman was murdered. Is it the daughter who hears voices or the greedy husband whose first wife died under similar circumstances and the police where he was from in Connecticut did nothing.

The Wahlbeg part holds up far better than the Selleck story. But the overall quality is dragged down.
