This is a low budget Spanish Max Payne Homage (They speak English so don't get worried). Max Payne 1 & 2 are my favourite games of all time (due to the fantastic writing and gameplay - something I think the third one may suffer from). My complaints other than the actors are a bit wooden is that it tries to be too much like the game (Max dies then a computer screen loads the last save game - I kid you not).
This fan film, by all means was one with potential and I have seen better Max Payne fan films (Max Payne Hero), this one was decent (I gave it 7 because this is a good film school project) and maybe could hope to see some more of their work.
The Visual effects, for what they had - were good, I can tell they spent a lot of time and effort into this movie and it has paid off. Just, I thought this could have been more entertaining (PLEASE cut out the dying/load game sequence - that p!ssed me off more than reminded me of the game).
I would recommend watching if you want to see a well made, average acted film school project.
