This Map Shows Where All the Wildfires in California Are Burning
This article originally appeared on time.com.

Fast-moving wildfires tore through California this week, destroying 1,500 homes, wineries and businesses in what has become one of the deadliest outbreaks in the state’s history.

A number of wildfires swept across Northern California in Napa and Sonoma counties just north of San Francisco — killing at least 17 people and forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their homes as firefighters struggled to contain the roaring flames that have scorched tens of thousands of acres.

California Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in Napa, Sonoma and Yuba counties, as well as in Butte,

Fyre Festival Email Leak: ‘No One Is Eating So Therefore No One’s Pooping’
Just when you thought the Fyre Festival PR disaster couldn’t get any worse, it has: Just-released emails show organizers haggling over how many toilets they’ll need to provide for the outdoor festival they promoted as a luxury concert in paradise. Mic reports that nearly four weeks prior to festival meltdown, an email titled “Red Flag- Bathrooms/ Shower Shipping” circulated, calling attention to the “unexpectedly high costs…of shipping enough toilets and showers to the Bahamas to accommodate an anticipated 2,500 people on the island.” Around the same time, the festival’s caterer backed out of the deal. This series of events led one.

Boxer David Benavidez Scores the Knockout of the Year

I’ve seen plenty of boxing knockouts in my lifetime but when someone scores a spot on perfect punch it always surprises me. But I think in the history of my watching boxing or even just boxing highlights I’ve never seen a boxer deliver a combination as on target and as lethal as this. David “Red Flag” Benavidez displayed what could only be described as “video game skills” during the 8th round of his fight with Rogelio Medina. Medina went flying out of the ring, and ultimately lost the fight, when Benavidez landed a brutal 7-punch combo. When you watch this

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: One Dwayne Johnson To Rule Us All

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: One Dwayne Johnson To Rule Us All
Last Week’S Review: Melissa McCarthy Is The Only Living Boy In New York

Here we are: The “Saturday Night Live” Season 42 finale. What a long, strange trip it’s been, huh? Hard to believe it was only last fall that we watched the Chicago Cubs dance up on the female cast members, or wondered if Dave Chappelle meant it when he asked us to give President Trump a chance. A lot of songs, impressions, and parodies-so-on-the-nose-they-hurt later, and another season of “SNL” is in the bag. Last night, we bade farewell to longtime cast members Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan — evidently, Kenan Thompson will stick around until someone remembers he doesn’t have to be there — and inducted host Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson into the Five Timers’ Club. Let’s take a look at the finale!

Host: Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson is a large, magical man, all muscles and teeth and charisma.

Christian Grey Is A Walking Red Flag In Honest Trailer For ‘Fifty Shades Darker’

The “Fifty Shades Of Grey” franchise is showing that it doesn’t have much lasting power in the cinematic bedroom. While the first film topped $571 million worldwide, the follow-up, “Fifty Shades Darker,” could only manage $378 million. That’s still a nice number, but generally speaking, you don’t want your sequel to make nearly $200 million less than its predecessor, so Universal might be advised to upgrade the kink for the final entry in the series, “Fifty Shades Freed.”

As Screen Junkies reveals in their latest Honest Trailer, ‘Darker’ only has about ten minutes of sex, in an otherwise unsatisfying movie about a young woman who is stalked by a good half-dozen people, and a man who throws up so many red flags, no reasonable person should be dating him, even less allowing him to tie them up.

‘Folk Hero & Funny Guy’ Review: Wyatt Russell and Alex Karpovsky Hit the Road in Year’s Most Charming Buddy Comedy

‘Folk Hero & Funny Guy’ Review: Wyatt Russell and Alex Karpovsky Hit the Road in Year’s Most Charming Buddy Comedy
Alex Karpovsky knows his way around an ill-fated working road trip. Back in 2012, the indie multi-hyphenate pulled triple duty on his “Red Flag,” starring in a feature he also wrote and directed about a filmmaker taking his latest work on around the country on a makeshift tour that only did more (mostly amusing) harm than good. In Jeff Grace’s amiable “Folk Hero & Funny Guy,” Karpovsky is mining similar territory in a comedy elevated by pairing up the actor with rising star Wyatt Russell.

As childhood friends who have taken wildly divergent paths in life — Karpovsky’s Paul is a struggling standup comedian who just ended an engagement, Russell’s Jason is a mildly successful folk singer who is having a hell of a time traveling the country and jamming out, with groupies to spare — the pair have a lived-in, believable chemistry that hinges equally on their affection for and disappointment in each other.

‘Folk Hero & Funny Guy’ Trailer: Mismatched Pals Wyatt Russell and Alex Karpovsky Embark On Uproarious Road Trip — Watch

‘Folk Hero & Funny Guy’ Trailer: Mismatched Pals Wyatt Russell and Alex Karpovsky Embark On Uproarious Road Trip — Watch
Fans of “Girls” star Alex Karpovsky will likely feel comfortably familiar with some of the dynamics that play out in his latest starring role in Jeff Grace’s “Folk Hero & Funny Guy,” as the multi-hyphenate returns to the same wacky — and insightful! — road trip high jinks that marked his own feature, “Red Flag.” In that film, Karpovsky played a filmmaker who takes his latest feature on the road and encounters all kinds of strange characters, all of whom have lots to say about his creative output.

In Grace’s film, Karpovksy is again a struggling artist — this time, an aspiring comedian — who (somewhat against his will) takes his shtick on the road, only to find some unexpected people and situations along the way. He’s the funny guy, so of course he also

‘Light-Years Ahead:’ When George Michael Toured China with Wham!

‘Light-Years Ahead:’ When George Michael Toured China with Wham!
This article originally appeared on Time.

At a time when “Careless Whisper” is standard karaoke fodder right across China, it is difficult to imagine when the sound of it was utterly and fantastically strange. But strange it was in April 1985, when the British pop duo Wham! beat off Queen and the Rolling Stones to became the first Western pop act to perform in the Middle Kingdom.

Some 15,000 concert goers watched George Michael and bandmate Andrew Ridgely belt out hits like “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” “Bad Boys” and “Careless Whisper” at the Workers’ Gymnasium in Beijing. Hair was bleached and feathered.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 1 Review: Stronger Than Ever

  • TVfanatic
In life we are often reminded of 'that which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger'. If you happen to be going through troubled times, you often don't see a difficult experience as an opportunity for growth.

This realization doesn't occur until after the dust settles. That is usually when we gain true perspective.

I think the underlying theme of the first Episode is actually all about strength, but not just in the obvious way as suggested in the title; 'Stronger than Ever'.

I think we see a lot of strength in many of the ladies in this Episode, but let's dig a bit deeper.

The first few scenes in Episode 1 touch base with the ladies that have returned for another Season. We see Lisa Vanderpump and husband Ken Todd hosting a dinner at their restaurant 'Sur' in West Hollywood.

Lisa has invited good friend Kyle Richards and husband Mauricio Umansky,

The Bachelorette Recap: JoJo Fletcher Gets Her First One-on-One – and We Officially Have This Season's Villain
This week's episode of The Bachelorette was less about JoJo Fletcher trying to find love and more about the fact that everyone really hates Chad.

We already didn't like Chad because he brought a suitcase full of protein powder on the show, but this week, he took things to a whole new level by calling JoJo "naggy" and threatening to knock someone's teeth out. He also befriended Daniel the weird Canadian, so he obviously can't be trusted.

Gwen Stefani Might Be Gearing Up to Make a Music Video About Gavin Rossdale's Cheating Scandal

Gwen Stefani Might Be Gearing Up to Make a Music Video About Gavin Rossdale's Cheating Scandal
Gwen Stefani's divorce from her husband, Gavin Rossdale, was recently finalized, and it seems as though the singer is about to address the split in a major way. Popsugar hears that, according to a casting call, the singer's new music video is set to start shooting next week. It will be directed by Sophie Muller, who has previously worked with Gwen on the music videos for her recent singles "Used to Love You" and "Make Me Like You," and is described as "a very stylized music video / short . . . shot with a very 1950's melodrama sensibility." The production calls for three main characters; Trudy, a stylish mother; Troy, who is described as a good-looking philanderer; and an attractive young woman as Nanny. This would all be pretty innocuous if not for the alliteration of the character names, or reports that Gavin had been carrying on a years-long affair with the couple's nanny,

Tribeca Review: Amiable And Appealing 'Folk Hero & Funny Guy' Starring Alex Karpovsky And Wyatt Russell

“So what’s the deal with Evites?” Stand up Paul (Alex Karpovsky) is bombing — at life. Dumped by his fiancée, working a dead end temp job, and flogging the same tired stand up routine at open mics around town, he’s going nowhere until an old friend invites him on a ride. The old friend is Jason Black (Wyatt Russell) a folk musician with a cult following who brings Paul on tour as an opening act to get his “mojo” back. “Folk Hero & Funny Guy” writer/director Jeff Grace is an actor (“It’s a Disaster”) and stand-up comic, and mines his own experiences for his directorial debut in this appealing road trip flick. The film hews closely to the road movie format, and calls to mind films like “The Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best” and even Karpovsky’s own film “Red Flag,” which share themes about finding inspiration and

There used to be a publicity shot of you in Red Cap on the “media appearances” board in HQ Training Estates South East, where you filmed. They said it was the most stolen image, more so than 007. Any other unusual accolades like that?

I used to be seeded number three in trampolining in Redbridge. And in all-girls doubles, tennis, me and my partner were seeded number two.
