Nice idea, dull execution

Basketball isn't exactly a sport infamous for its violence in the same way as hockey, but this game tries to merge the two - with mediocre results. It's a two-on-two full court game where you can punch your opponents in order to get the ball from them...and that's the whole premise.

I don't get how Arch Rivals became a game ported to numerous consoles. It's not a bad game, it's just utterly forgettable with nothing much at all give it any kind of longevity. The novelty of the idea wears off very quickly, but at least the graphics are nice.

A modern remake with more focus on gameplay and tournament play would not be a bad idea.
