The low reviews here are correct. This was painful to watch. The acting is not good, but the storyline was ridiculous.

I always go into a movie with the understanding that you have to give some wiggle room to the writers. In order to move a story, sometimes things have to happen that aren't realistic. That's only excusable if the rest of the movie makes sense! This movie did not make any sense.

I don't know what it takes to make a serial killer, but I'm sure that the reasons given here are not adequate. And it made for some scenes that were just dumb.

I regret watching this movie. It was terrible.

It's been 15mins

Only watching this cause my better half wants to see what happens. It's been 15 mins but I already see how dismally bad this is. The acting is quite sub par. It seems more like an art film rather than a thriller! Netflix seems to be in favour of providing subpar content now a days. It's unfortunate but the story had potential as far as I see it. I feel the budget didn't allow the makers of this film to make the right decision. Had this movie been made about 15-20 years back, it may have been successful. Reviews here seems to be on spot. It's the acting... God it's just so so unfathomably bad!!

How can someone make a movie this terrible

This is easily the worst movie I have seen this year. The acting is terrible, and the script is next to stupid. Even the above average production quality couldn't help this movie. Seems like the director wants to make the audience dumb. The only motivation behind completing this movie was the fact that I am a fan of mysteries and I just wanted to finish it off. I am wondering how this made it into Netflix. Even if you have two hours to do nothing, there are better things to do than investing time on this one. For a moment, I thought this is a debut movie from the director but turns out he had done a handful of movies in the past. Bottom line, just terrible!

Murder story little terrible, but the criminal finding story is interesting

Operation Mayfair is a decent movie. Shows the aftereffects of you not being treated in good way by society or family. It may lead to meantal and psychological issues. Good way they have presented the movie in an entertaining and interesting way. Same time, this a murder mystery story. Why is it called Operation Mayfair I do not know, maybe the operation of finding the criminal. Nice acting by the cast particularrly Jmmy Shergill and Ankur Bhatia. I had a nicce time watching the movie. Few stars I would remove because I couldn't connect much to their charcters, but the stooy was intense. I had a decent expereince watching the movie. I rate Operation Mayfair 8 stars on 10. One time watch movie. Nothing special except the murder scene of the indivial.. I felt little awkward and different. You can watch this movie for timepass. Not a boring movie. Songs and music are also fine.

Bast movie

Ankur Bhatia sir really played a role of serial kiler in darkway, it's really heart wrenching to see, If you go into this movie with an open mind you'll enjoy it. It's clearly a throwback to the golden age of cinema. A lot of reviewers experienced genre mismatch expecting a score-fi horror movie, but if you instead take the movie as it is, it's well done, well-paced and quite a lovely film. I felt tension, I laughed, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. For the low reviews here they are just basic people who review based on their expectations instead of what the director presented. I love this movie very wonderful movie.

Only good thing is Jimmy Shergill

Except for Jimmy, its all poor cast choices, poor acting, poor voiceover, poor direction. Average storyline, and you predict the villain within 10 minutes! Was absolutely unnecessary to shoot in UK or to have a English cast. Not sure why JS did this movie, but then he was the only good ingredient of the entire movie. Songs were another unnecessary component. Could have been a 100X better movie if it had a better cast with real acting skills. This movie could be made way better within the same budget. Poor execution, storyline, casting, acting, directing. Dialogue writer also didn't seem to have done a basic homework of how professional's address each other in the UK.

An ultra substandard content which is hard to process. Acting , direction, are WORST.wish I can give -100 😂. A 10 years old could have done a better job. Basically this Bollywood flick tried to showcase how the MET police will work in 10 years time in the UK by taking over all the major government departments by Indians 😂. The most funniest was we have Indian home minister , finance minister and Prime minister.

Plot was interesting had multi dimensions to steer and manipulate the storyline but all was ruined because no brain was used.

Only good thing was jimmy Shergill has done a decent act.

Why spend money in foreign location for shood and hire actresses with not acting skills.

Disaster

Just twenty minutes into the movie and oh man disaster , what have you done Director! Vedika Dutt 0.1/10 acting for the role. No idea y Jimmy Shergill will be called back and no one listens to him lol! It's again vedika in every scene trying to kill us with that acting. This film is a utter classic example of the fact that no matter how much budget you allocate for a overseas shoot, your film is gonna be screwed if you hire a bad director. This will go down as one of the worst movies ever directed in this decade. I am sure the director himself did not watch the movie during screening??? Do not dare to watch this movie,,, such a dumb direction and waste of money.

A Disappointing Thriller!!

The film is a disappointment on many levels. The plot is predictable and the characters are one-dimensional. The acting is also subpar, with Shergill giving a particularly wooden performance.

The film's only saving grace is its cinematography. The film is beautifully shot, with some impressive visuals. However, this is not enough to save the film from being a complete bore. The film's biggest problem is its lack of suspense. There is no sense of danger or urgency, and the audience never feels like the characters are in any real danger. The film also suffers from some poor technical aspects, such as shaky camerawork and poor editing.

If you're looking for a good thriller, I would recommend avoiding Operation Mayfair. There are much better films out there that are worth your time.

Loved the performance (Kevin!! Ankur Bhatia)

I was entertained till end, good watch! I loved Kevin's role, his two personalities were interesting and the ending of how the killer maybe back in a few years was a good twist. Both the actors Kevin (Ankur Bhatia) & Amar (Jimmy Shergill) did phenomenal. The songs didn't go with the film and were non needed. Loved the shots of London. It could have been a more interesting plot if the killer wasn't revealed right away and a little less of the stepmother flashbacks but more focus on the killer being a husband, father, and his struggles. Otherwise great movie! Hoping there's a part 2, with a twist , I would surely watch it again.

Wonderful movie

The suspense, tension and slow unraveling of the antagonist is very rewarding. The cinematography is top notch and the characters are highly believable. The pacing is slow in the beginning but that's the whole point. They keeps you looking at the edges of the screen in order to get a glimpse of what comes next..This movie was such a pleasant surprise..The acting is just perfect, kept me glued to my chair, the plot twist is great !Very few movies nowadays are original and this is the Ana l'uo cinco watched the movie The suspense, tension and slow unraveling of the antagonist is very rewarding. What could be a great story ruined

I don't know where to start the story has been let down with some really bad acting really bad casting and absolutely hopeless directing ! The news reporter looks like she was hired off the street with 0 acting skills .. best part is when chase scenes go from Canning Town through to Covent Garden honestly it's painful to watch how they ruined what could have been a great story. Attention to detail was completely missed. How did Netflix ever allow this thing on its stream are times that desperate? I hate to think what it cost to make this complete flop. Bollywood cinema has come so far but this sends Bollywood backwards.

Really Bad

This movie is so bad that it would take a long time to write out just all of the flaws in this movie. Not just the acting in this movie is poor but the script writing is atrocious.

Spoiler alert: magine a police team tasked with finding a serial killer that is on a budget working out of a room and.being tasked with a major crime case and being told that they don't have resources. Next any basic clues or facts are debated on whether to pursue or not, ex; the Alexa machine As well as the minister threats to close the investigation. The editing is really awful moving from one scene to the other that is not related happens quite a few times.

Perhaps they should have consulted real detectives to figure out the method of operation or even watch a few movies to understand how the operation is handled within a crime squad. Absolutely terrible movie don't watch or waste your time.

How do you define bad acting?

If ever there was a movie that accurately defines the term 'bad acting' then this is it. The entire cast, be it the Indian or non-Indian actors perform like first timers, like they were picked off the streets, paid some cash and handed a script. The performances are lethargic, deadpan, forced, totally unconvincing and just lacking realism of every form. The only reason I sat through the entire film was purely out of curiosity to see how they ended up catching the killer. A story line that ought to have you on the edge of your seat ends up having you yawning within the first 30 minutes if you don't fall asleep before that.

Worst movie in recent times

Oh god! Didn't they watch the movie before releasing and realize it is horrendous? The acting, dialogue delivery, pronunciations, scene changes, plot points are ridiculous. Special mention to Vedeika Dutt as DCI Lisa Varma for being the worst actor ever seen in a movie. You will cringe every time she opens her mouth and speaks. She looks good, but should definitely work on her acting before stepping in front of the camera again.

Did they pick people on the road, and ask them if they wanted to be a part of a movie? If you are a spending money shooting in London, at the very least spend some on getting better actors, and writing a better story!

Idiotic direction. Child like story. Stupid acting. Actually bad acting. Immature acting. Shergil is a good actor. Rest are just low. Some scenes are like very very easy to catch with its stupidity and weak flows. Ehhh. Why did i watch it

For example. Aunt watching her niece die but she called the police and stood outside her house

Stealth operation going on. But police arrives with sirens and stealth team still going Stealth .

Dialogues in between scenes seems like actors are just asked to do it on their own.

Police detective work with Alexa. Oh my God. They thought its useless to use it as a clue or evidence. And they took out a print out of its recording. Damn you couldnjust listen to it and match the voices.

First of all, coming from someone who lived in the UK for more than 10 years,

UK police is not a joke! Trust me, you can't even flinch without a CCTV present! And there is a killer on the lose that they can't even detect 🤣🤣 and that killer is within their team, What were they thinking to begin with...

Lets see you accept the fact that UK police is as dumb as they showed in this movie...

But the acting on this was just HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I have never seen a movie this bad in my life! And I see 1-2 movies/day... Not even Jimmy Shergil was able to save this one,

Really bad editing, the direction even worse, sound effects even more worse! And I can write 500 words essay on how bad the actors are in this...

Pathetic, Disaster

I feel sad to see Jimmy Shergil like actor acts in such pathetic web series. Maker thinks audiences are fools. Netflix is showing 98% rating. Netflix is also fooling audiences. I can't deny that there are lots of good contents Netflix has. But Netflix should not show fake likes like 98% for such pathetic n stupid content. Poor content, poor direction, poor casting, poor editing. I felt like I wasted my time to watch this series. I just watched for Jimmy Shergil. Indian cinemas must stop fooling their audiences. There is a scene where camera shows one dead girl with clear eye movement.😅. Really disappointed.

Gritty storyline Great performance

Just finished watching it. Great storyline slow burn keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the film. Another masterclass performance by Jimmy as usual. This is one of the best performances by Jimmy.

Amazing direction keeps you guessing what's going to happen next. Every scene directed doing full justice to the character. Dialogues has been kept simple yet powerful fully relevant to the scenes. Not a typical desi tadka drama film but a unique script with real life characters. It shows you don't need big budget or massive star cast if you have good direction sense and story. A must watch👍🏻👍🏻

Director needs to quit!

Worst movie ever! Worst editing, Worst background score, overall a waste of time. Even some short films are way better than this. The director needs to quit making films. Jimmy Shergill was a good actor but he too has performed badly because of the director! The plot is inspired from english series Dexter but not even 0.000000001 percent close to it. People need to watch on their own risk and don't forget these are the 2 hours of your life you are going to loose unnecessarily if you decide to watch this film. I don't understand why even netflix choose to host this film on their platform. It needs to be taken down feom all the online platforms.

I'm not the one to typically write reviews, especially if it's something negative. Was keen on seeing Jimmy but 10 mins into the film I can't continue any further. Actually I got the feeling it'll be pretty bad within the first couple of minutes of the opening scene but decided to wait until jimmys appearance. Nothing seemed right, the acting, the dialogues, quite possibly the script but I'm not sticking around to find that out. Indian cinema needs to stop making movies which takes place in foreign countries, especially UK. One way or another, they just cannot relate nor write authentic characters with whom you can relate. Makes me wonder why Jimmy took on this project, was he doing a favor to someone or being forced into it.

Please do not waste 2 hours of your life!!

This is the worst movie I have seen in ages. Not sure how this got on Netflix. The movie, the plot, the acting was so bad that this is my first ever movie review. Believe me, I made an account just to warn others. This movie deserves a negative 10 and belongs in a bin.

The actors were so bad that I almost thought of starting an acting career myself. I am not sure how or where the Director was when all of this happened. The sets and plots- don't even get me started. I have no words to describe who wrote this. I would have done a better job myself. Most of all- T-series, if you are reading this you ain't getting my trust anytime soon.

Please, please avoid!!!!!

Feel sorry for Jimmy Shergill

The only reason I could watch this movie was because of Jimmy. Others couldn't connect to the camera, besides over acting. The girl who played role of Jimmy's wife was acting better then the other girls. Villain failed completely. The way he executed some scenes and actions actually made me laugh.

The movie story was ok but lacked content. Thanks to fast forward I could skip some of the movie. Good quality cinematography but direction wasn't. Lisa character couldn't justify the actions or she needed better dialogues. The characters needed some content. Sonia probably was just for pretty face, though she tried she could do better.

It was just good to see Jimmy and only he pulled the movie for me too the end.
