Storyline

With Tara seriously wounded, Sookie and Lafayette ask Pam to turn her into a vampire. She agrees but makes no promises that it will work. Erik and Bill are taken into custody by the Authority but their main captor, Nora, has something of a surprise for them. Jason gets a surprise of his own with a visit from none other than Rev. Newlin, who is now a vampire. He's not at all upset that Jason slept with his wife and has something important to tell him. Jason is rescued by Jessica who makes it clear that she wants to see others. She seems to have second thoughts when she sees Jason partying with an attractive young woman. Sam Merlotte is being hunted for the death of Marcus and takes the blame to protect Luna and her daughter. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

Anna Paquin was pregnant during filming of season 5 in 2012. Her pregnancy was not written into the show. Instead, to accommodate her pregnancy, her stomach was hidden using props, loose fitting clothing and the camera would usually shoot her from the waist up. The season 5 finale aired on Aug. 26, 2012. Paquin gave birth a few weeks later in September 2012 to fraternal twins, a boy named Charlie, and a girl named Poppy. The father is Stephen Moyer, Paquin's husband and her "True Blood" co-star. Quotes

Lafayette Reynolds: [about Tara] Turn her for us.
Pam De Beaufort: Turn her? I don't even like her.
Sookie Stackhouse: Lafayette, Tara hates vampires.
Lafayette Reynolds: Bitch, she took a bullet for you. You really gonna deny her a chance to live?
Pam De Beaufort: I can't be the only one who's noticed she's missing half her head, now can I? Even if I tried, what's to say she won't rise up out of the ground tomorrow night completely and utterly fucktarded?

What a great episode!!! I'd bump the series to 9.0... just for this one!!
11 July 2012 | by See all my reviews

I've been watching this series since day one.... during the daytime of course. Hats off to all the directors that have given so much to this series as far as quality and unique talents in bringing this together, with the help of HBO no doubt.... cutting edge television for sure. This particular episode definitely moves forward in directing and acting talents by all involved, which keeps this show more exciting then ever. I only hope that this quality of HBO television will care on for many a full moon. I found myself laughing out loud at many situations in this episode and still intensely focusing which direction the show was going to go. I've always respected the 8.0 rating this series has earned but I think I'll give it a 9.0 for this episode by itself....very good job!
