A succubus comes to visit
5 March 2012 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This episode sees the return of the young vampire Adam; he turns up at the Honolulu Heights along with headmistress Yvonne… followed closely behind by a pack of journalists keen to write stories about their scandalous affair… he looks like a teenager after all. There is something rather strange about Yvonne though; for a start she can see Annie and secondly she has a strange affect on the men around her, including Hal and Tom; invading their dreams and unwittingly causing them to fall in love with her. While Adam is in the back garden having a smoke one of the journalists takes his picture and is somewhat surprised when there is nobody in the photograph; it turns out he has been investigating the supernatural for some time and hopes to expose them to the world.

This episode might not have been the most action packed but it contained enough even if one of the deaths depicted was a dream and the other took place off screen. There was a nice sense of mystery about Yvonne; it was clear that there was something special about her the moment she saw Annie but the clues to her actual nature were only revealed slowly so there was a good chance that the viewers will have realised what she was slightly before it is explained. The regular cast did good jobs as usual as did guest stars Selina Griffiths and Craig Roberts who played Yvonne and Adam respectively.
