The concept of Tape Me comes from a dream that director Christopher Outridge had one night about he and his friends being stalked, video taped and murdered by a "faceless" killer wearing a mask. This dream was a complete feature film, where Chris and five of his friends watched the killer's murder reel and desperately tried to figure out who the killer is before he murdered them. The dream even included the beginning and end credits along with a Tape Me title page.
In the Tape Me dream, Chris and his friends died before they could figure out who Faceless was.
Tape Me is director Christopher Outridge's first HD film.
Faceless's original name was The Recorder.
Tape Me: Reel 1 is actress Vanessa Bontea and Casey Leigh Thompson's first IMDb credit.
