Surprise surprise an actually decent Katherine Heigl comedy

Warning: Spoilers
"Katherine Heigl Hates Balls" is a 3-minute live action mockumentary short film from 2011 and it is a Funnyordie production, one of their most known, not because it was written and directed by Alex Fernie, but because it stars famous Hollywood actress Katherine Heigl and honestly, I am not a fan of her at all in general and I do believe that she is not very talented, has little range and should not have lead actress status as she does, or well, as she did I should say perhaps. In this pretty short film, she is okay though: FoD once again knows no taboos and we have Heigl elaborate conveniently on why she hates men's testicles. Nope she is not talking about tennis balls or basketballs, but nuts. Indeed! The moment she cuts off this basketball net is actually pretty painful to watch for every man, not just the model type guy you see during this sequence. But it can be solid fun for women too and I was eventually surprised by how much I liked this one. It definitely had enough funny moments for such a short film to let me recommend checking it out. It does not make me see Heigl in a more positive light to be honest, for that it is just too irrelevant and not good enough, but it shows that Heigl and Funnyordie despite all their failure films can also deliver quality with the right material amd people in charge. It's a thumbs-up. Go watch it.

I just watched this...

And there was nothing funny about it at all. This had very little to do with the alleged topic and was about the mutilation of men. I only wish IMDb's ratings system went lower than one, because it doesn't even deserve that. Many insist that violence against women isn't funny, so I guess a female version of this entitled, "I Hate Ovaries," where men are depicted smashing eggs and saying, "Well, since I'm not allowed to cut out women's ovaries, I'll settle for doing it to -ahem- female dogs." is out of the question. If that's the case, then why is violence against men so funny? It isn't. You say it's just a joke? Well, I'm not laughing.

Little bit funny, little bit scary.

Quite funny, in a slightly tense, legs crossed kind of way. Miss Heigl, looking stunning but a little bit scary with the swept back hair, explains her pathological dislike of testicles and why she spends so much of her time sponsoring the neutering of dogs only because she is unable to do it to men - yet. The penis is apparently acceptable, presumably it is a little more aesthetically appealing and a brave man might tentatively suggest it also helps that Miss Heigl could find a use for the old appendage. But after watching this little film I am not such a man and am off to the local hardware shop to invest in a pair of armoured underpants.
