Sex & Nudity

  • The opening credits show woodcuts featuring naked people. Private regions are mostly covered.
  • A major part of the story is about two people trying to have a child. It is mentioned frequently. Terms such as "making babies" and "trying", are used to indirectly reference sex.
  • A woman looks at her husband and says, "do you want to start early tonight?" Subsequently we see them enter a bedroom, and kiss while beginning to undress. Sex is clearly implied, but no actual nudity is seen.

Violence & Gore

  • The film contains a lot of violence, but it is neither bloody nor especially gruesome. Most of the violence is in a spiritual warfare context.
  • An angel slices a demon's face off with a sword. We see the face slide off the head from a profile shot, but since the demon is turning to stone at the same time, no blood is seen.
  • About 1/3 of the way through the film two angels square off with a host of demons. There is some swordplay, but it doesn't look very realistic and there is no blood.
  • A man shoots himself through the mouth. We see him put the end of the gun in his mouth, we hear the shot, and see blood splatter a boy's face.
  • A woman cuts her hand for a Satanic ritual. We don't see the initial cut, but we see her wipe the blood on a carpet.
  • A man stabs another man through back, and we see the end of the knife protruding from the man's front.
  • An angel and a demon fist fight. The angel breaks the demon's arm on screen. We hear a loud crack. The angel then spins the demon onto a blade sticking out of a wall. After that he pulls another sword out and stabs it through the demon's head. Instead of blood, black smoke comes out of the demons wounds.
  • At the end, an angel slices Divination in half. He see her front half laying on the lawn, while her legs are kicking in the background. The angel then stabs an exploding dagger into her stomach which blows her up.

Profanity

  • 10 uses of God's name in a profane way, including "oh god", and "oh my god." 1 use of "sucks." 1 use of "BS." many uses of "hell" as profanity, and 2 uses of "damn" respectively.
  • Very severe profanity for a faith based film.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire film is filled with scary visions. These include a a truck crashing into a woman while she's in a car. A woman's face morphing into that of a demon. Demons entering a house. A demon creeping into a sleeping woman's room. A house filled with demons. Many of the visions are only dreams, but they serve as jump scares.
