Storyline

Andrew's end-of-school year party is a blast. Andrew, who pleads against owing up, and Chris have a hard time making Summer concentrate on her repeat-exam. Karl feels relived that his nagging helped make Malcolm break up with Jade, but Susan is suspecting that she has an affair with one of them, hence her strange surprise visit. Callum tries to avoid his Internet-banishment by taking his laptop elsewhere, but fools nobody and is caught at Dane's after Rhys informs Toadie.

"You don't exactly make it easy for yourselves"

Summer's apparent epiphany as a result of Chris' advice and her own guilt goes into reverse gear a bit as Andrew basically tells her to keep lying.It's a shame that the episode abruptly seems to put the brakes on this storyline when it seems like it's going to be resolved.

It's slightly galling that Karl apologises to Jade when she wasn't exactly remorseful about her actions.It's even more galling that he's pleased by Susan's hypocritical jealousy and that we're treated to a bunch of flashbacks demonstrating why he should be glad to be shot of her.(It's hard to tell what they're meant to convey, other than that she's always been a drama queen:Wouldn't happy memories be more appropriate?)

Callum is also firmly in the irritating corner, although it's nice to see Toadie and Sonya putting up a united front and Lucas supporting them.Dane is a bit more of a soft touch but it's nice Rhys shows some responsibility, although Toadie reconciling with someone he's never been friends with shows signs of minimal rewrites of a script meant for Kyle.
