This short is one of my favorite new things. This director is a friend of my boyfriend at film school in NC. I was already a fan of his acting, and then I saw his NO SLEEP video (youtube) so of course I wanted to see this one. I loved it, and will be waiting for more from this guy. This will make you think of your crappy first apartment - we all had one. OK, I still have one. And you will be pulling for this woman. Somehow you can't feel cynical when you see this, although I am not sure if that's what this director is going for. The actress does a good job, despite the challenge of limited dialogue to work with. I really identified with her, which is the best thing about this piece. It is fun to think of where he could have gone with this idea if he decided to make it longer, but maybe that is the appeal.
