In 1950, Mel Blanc recorded some novelty songs for Capitol Records in the voices of his characters he did for Warner Bros. Cartoons. Now someone has taken his voices from one of those records and, with a new arrangement based on the originals by Billy May, has put them in this new computer animated short in order to illustrate the characterizations of Tweety and Sylvester in all their violent glory! The song with the same title as this short is catchy and seeing the "puddy tat" get his every time he tries to do what comes naturally to him got me guffawing constantly! Oh, and it's nice to hear June Foray add her voice as Granny here and seeing her credited for her work in these Warner Bros. cartoons, for once! (Only Blanc was credited for his work-despite others like Stan Freberg and Arthur Q. Bryan doing additional voices-when he was employed by the studio) So on that note, I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat comes highly recommended.
