cheap CGI but slowly it becomes better, 5 February 2014
Author: trashgang from Midian

You can easily spot throughout this flick that this was a low budget film. The effects used were not that good by which I mean, the CGI used. On the other hand the zombies just look like humans with a bit of blood on their face. I didn't liked the CGI used for the rabid dog or the zombie dog. The dog has flies hanging around him and that's pure CGI but the slime coming out of his mouth was badly done. I thought this was going to be a terrible movie but luckily they also used real effects and at the end I did like it.

It's always dangerous to add names in the promotion coming from a popular series. Just have a look at The Roommate (2011) having two from Vampire Diaries in it. It just didn't work out but here we have Kayla Ewell from The Vampire Diaries and things did work out this time. Also in it is Sarah Butler (Sharley) and again she does what she does best. I did like both performances.

It's a bit of a love story going wrong and zombies being involved. Slowly this flick do turns into a zombie flick. It's the fast running kind as I said with not that much of effects used. But again, towards the end the blood slowly comes in. The ending is another thing people are talking about. Two endings are shown, it's up to you to decide which one you prefer.

It's not a flick that will win an Oscar but I'm a bit of a Butler fan and have meet her in the flesh, picture together included, this one is better then The Stranger Within (2013).
