Alicia goes head-to-head with Louis Canning in an arbitration case, but a personal crisis at home interferes with the case. Meanwhile, Diane confronts Will on his relationship with Alicia as the DA's office continues its investigation.

Storyline

Alicia coaches new associate Caitlin D'arcy in her first court-like appearance, an arbitration hearing. Opposing counsel is Martha Reed who Alicia had hoped to hire but was forced to hire Caitlin instead. The case revolves around a college professor, Pamela Raker, who claims she was fired after resisting the advances of her department head. When Alicia and Caitlin gain the upper hand, Martha calls in her boss - none other than Alicia's old nemesis, Louis Canning. Wendy Scott-Carr pursues her case against Will Gardner and they hire Cary's friend, Andrew Wiley, as an investigator. Eli is feeling unloved at the firm. He decides to help out Will. Alicia and Peter face a crisis when daughter Grace disappears.

Michael J. Fox again appears as the cunning attorney who shows his human side when it appears that the Florrick's daughter has been kidnapped. With that situation resolved, Canning again proves what a sly, crafty person he is.

Alicia and Will are at it and at least we can understand why Peter is now able to investigate Will-corruption with judges. It's really an interesting this what is going on. Of course, with Alicia and Will sleeping with each other, things are getting more and more complicated and that enhances the story-line.

Archie Panjabi's character seems to be all over the map. The woman is really becoming a sex-crazed object with all concerned.
