The Oscar-winning singer and actress dressed up as Princess Tiana from 2009's The Princess and the Frog for the latest 'Disney Dream Portrait'.
The picture, titled 'Where you always follow your heart', was commissioned by Disney Parks for its ongoing celebrity advertising campaign which debuted in 2007.
Disney has also released behind-the-scenes photos of Hudson holding and kissing her "lil frog" David Otunga Jr, 4.
"This is my fav pix from the Disney princess shoot !" she wrote on Instagram. "Such an honour Disney !"
Hudson will soon star with fellow American Idol alum Jordin Sparks in coming of age drama The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete.

The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete will receive a limited Us release on 11th October. It stars Skylan Brooks, Ethan Dioz, Jeffrey Wright, Jennifer Hudson, ANthony Mackie, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Jordin Sparks.

The drama, directed by George Tillman Jr., also stars Skylan Brooks, Ethan Dizon, Jeffrey Wright and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Producers are Jana Edelbaum, Rachel Cohen, Tillman and Robert Teitel.
The film, which debuted at Sundance in January, turns on Hudson’s character being apprehended by police, leaving her 14-year-old son Mister and nine-year-old Pete lone to forage for food while dodging child protective services and the destructive scenarios of the Brooklyn projects.
The film also includes music by Alicia Keys, who is an exec producer.
Codeblack and Lionsgate have seen strong results for Kevin Hart’s “Let Me Explain,” which has grossed over $30 million domestically in less than 900 theaters. Variety reported on July 8 that Codeblack had acquired U.S. distribution rights to Forest Whitaker

The coming-of-age drama will arrive in theatres in limited release on October 11.
The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete comes from director George Tillman Jr, who is best known for his work on Men of Honour and Soul Food.
Actors Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Bourne Identity), Julito McCullum (Akeelah and the Bee) and Adam Trese (Zodiac) also star.
The film, written by Michael Starrbury (Black Jack), has yet to be given a UK release date.
