BOKWAAS - The Power of Bogus Marketing
24 August 2013 | by See all my reviews

This movie is complete BOKWAAS (nonsense!). Okay lets be honest. The hype for this movie was crazy. After Rohit Shetty's hits like Singham I was modestly hopeful to see SRK in a new form. Disliking SRK in his smoochy roles I was hoping for something new.

The movie lacks a comprehensive structure and story with close to no character development. SRK is amazingly dense in this movie. Slapstick comedy attempts of SRK fail badly and the character is not at all believable.

The only positive points of this movie were Deepika's look. She looked quite good in this movie, the South Indian dresses suit her. Also the villain, played by Nikiten Dheer plays his role well and looks impressive.

But all in all the movie is an utter disappointment, a waste of time, and a braincell-killer. It definitely shows the power of bogus marketing, when looking at the success of the movie. This movie is one of the biggest Hindi movies released in International theaters. Taking into account that this movie is a calling card for the Hindi film industry, it has sent the completely wrong image and frankly embarrasses me as an Indian living abroad.

A 0 was better suited for this movie, but unfortunately the IMDb system does not allow that.
