Storyline

A private school bus driver is killed after being ambushed, and the kids are kidnapped by a ruthless gang threatening to shoot one per hour unless the governor, whom the team convinces, releases as ransom a Colombian cartel's large, recently seized cocaine shipment. While delivering it, Steve is nearly killed in an explosion destroying the drugs, as the promised release was a lie. In a race to save the witnesses from elimination, the team concentrates on the only arrested cradle employee and teenage hostage Jason Schafer's father, real estate entrepreneur Malcolm. Meanwhile, Joe is dismissed from the Navy for mounting Steve's rescue and kidnaps Yakuza boss Hiro Noshimuri before he can flee to Japan in an attempt to identify the mysterious Shelburne whom Wo Fat clearly fears. On the Bus ****
11 June 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Terrific episode where a drug cartel operating in Hawaii loses a lot of cocaine to Hawaii 5-0 only to extract revenge by taking a school bus with children on it as hostages. The driver for the cartel knows much more than he lets on.

These people really mean business when they kill the school bus driver and wound another person.

The team works feverishly to free the hostages, but first they have to find out where the bus with the kids has been hidden.

A major twist comes to be known when one of the youngsters recognizes one of the kidnappers.

There is action as the team races against a two-hour deadline imposed by the cartel.

Danny and Steve show how tough they can be when dealing with the cartel driver.

Excellent and riveting.
