Trivia

When the evil queen is telling Rumplestiltskin about Belle, in the background is a gold scythe just like the one used in season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). On the other side of the room, the wizard's hat from The Sorcerer's Apprentice segment of _Fantasia (1940)_ sits atop a pedestal. See more »

Goofs

In Once Upon a Time: The Price of Gold, it is established that Ashley is 19; however, in this episode she is drinking at a bar (21 in Maine, just like the rest of the U.S.). This may also be true for Ruby, who looks young, though her age has only been previously established to be 17+ since she serves liquor in a restaurant. See more »

Quotes

Belle: Why do you spin so much?
[Rumplestiltskin doesn't reply]
Belle: Sorry, it's just... you've spun straw into more gold than you could ever spend.
Rumplestiltskin: I like to watch the wheel. Helps me forget.
Belle: Forget what?
Rumplestiltskin: [after a little reflection] I guess it worked.

Rumpelstiltskin steals the show
16 March 2012 | by (Vancouver, Canada) – See all my reviews

By far the best episode in this Season. After watching this episode, one cannot help but to develop a soft corner for Rumpelstiltskin. There's something strangely attractive about him, despite his character, keeps you guessing. Is he really that evil or is there still good in him and just really good at getting what he wants. He's going to win the hearts of all before it is done and said.

I love how he completely transforms between Rumpelstilskin into Mr. Gold. His voice, facial expressions, body movements completely transform him from one character into the other and he does it so well.

i hope he has a major part for the downfall of the Evil Queen.
