Storyline

Marine Corps men keep pressuring NCIS, as if Gibbs weren't motivated enough by his own trauma over losing his own daughter. He travels to Afghanistan with Ziva. Helped by McGee's satellite recording processing, they work out that Gabriela Flores's corpse is missing because she wasn't killed in the Taliban bombing, so the search becomes a rescue mission. It also becomes clear that native school staff member Soraya Zoranj was the attackers' accomplice, belonging to a suicide Jihadist branch, which has an undercover man in Washington.
