“Inna de Yard” is a documentary feature directed by Webber, who previously helmed “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” “Emperor” and “Hannibal Rising.” Laurent Baudens, Laurent Flahault and Gael Nouaille are producing the doc via Borsalino Prods.
Taking place above Kingston in Jamaica, the film follows legendary voices of reggae including Ken Boothe, Winston McAnuff, Kiddus I and Cedric Myron, who reunite to record the “Inna de Yard,” which revisits their staple songs. The film also delivers a snapshot of everyday lives of these musicians, who reminisce about their collaborations with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff.
The film opens in U.S. theaters on May 5, 2017.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is filled with great action, humor and performances, but it is also infused with a new mixed tape and soundtrack, a dynamic that resonated deeply with audiences in the first film as evidenced by the success of the soundtrack album. The Grammy-nominated “Guardians of the Galaxy” soundtrack reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, becoming the first soundtrack album consisting entirely of previously released songs to top the chart. The album was certified Platinum by the R.I.A.A.

There are precious few things in this world which cannot be improved by a measure of silliness – and Zhang Yimou’s not entirely historically accurate story of a legendary alien battle at The Great Wall of China is no exception. In combining his trademark gravity defying fight sequences with thousands of green blooded CGI monsters, Zhang has contrarily crafted a very beautiful and wildly expensive B-Movie.
William (Matt Damon) and Tovar (Pedro Pascal) are soldiers for hire, wandering the wilds of China in search of a source of black powder – gunpowder – to sell to the highest bidder upon their return to the west. When their group is ambushed late one night William’s mercenary training ensures the pair’s safety and grants them a gory and unusual get-out-of-certain-death-free card as they stumble across a secret army preparing for the fight of their lives.

A salute to some of the finest uplifting moments in film, and to cinema's ability to lift your day.
A few weeks ago we published a list of traumatic moments that have appeared in family films. Of course we all enjoyed that waltz through painful childhood nightmare fuel, but the question was raised, why not do a list of slightly more positive and upbeat movie scenes instead? Thus, this: 25 of the most triumphant movie moments of all time.
Everyone has that go-to feel-good movie which they stick on when life is getting them down. Had a bad week at work? Stick Four Weddings on. Football team lose 5-0 and get soaked through on your way home? Time for Baseketball. Leave a tenner in the pocket of your jeans that just went in the wash and thus suddenly realise that life is a never-ending cycle of pain and

The documentary is the sequel to the BBC’s 2007 documentary, Earth, and is the first feature film to be produced under the UK and China film co-production treaty, signed last year.

The deal will be signed at a ceremony in London today (Sep 21) with Wang Jianjun, director-general and president, representing Smg and Paul Dempsey, president, global markets, representing BBC Worldwide.
The signing ceremony will take place at the creative showcase being held at Lancaster House in London

You're generally lucky if a movie has one genuinely great villain in it, let alone two. This is probably because creating a villain takes great acting and writing - it's one thing to create a preening character who stomps around a story doing unpleasant things, but creating a villain who's three-dimensional, witty, scary and above all memorable requires considerable skill.
Every so often, a movie comes along which gives us not one, but two classic villains, with the personality of one complementing the other. A familiar dynamic was once laid out by Steven Spielberg: one is smart and eloquent , while the other is the tougher, more violent of the pair. It's a template that we've seen time and again in cinema, but it's only occasionally that both characters leap from the screen.
The story centers on a group of four men who set off on a rescue mission to save a group of captives from a tribe of cannibals who live on the edge of civilization. Matthew Fox is playing an unscrupulous gentleman with sinister plans.

They have also arranged financing through a deal with The Fyzz Facility's Wayne Marc Godfrey, Robert Jones and David Gilbery. No production schedule was given.

Starring alongside him is Eriko Hatsune as Aya Shimada, a woman Fellers romanced years earlier, and Tommy Lee Jones as legendary Us military figure General Douglas MacArthur.
Fox said that he was "really moved" by the script for Peter Webber's film, and found that the true life story was one worthy of big-screen treatment.
On working with Jones, the actor told Digital Spy: "Tommy came on at the very end of the shoot for the last two weeks.
"I think it served the film really well.
"I was the brigadier general up until the point the real general came along - MacArthur showed up.
