Storyline

In the sober light of day after Barney and Robin's romantic liaison, they have to decide if the night together meant anything beyond a roll in the sack. Regardless, they have to decide what to do about it with regard to their respective relationships with Nora and Kevin. Things are made more difficult when the four are supposed to be attending a social work function on a harbor cruise, which means that they are are captive together for the evening. Barney and Robin know that they have to be on the same page about what to do, but that may be easier said than done. Meanwhile, Ted has bought tickets to a groovapalooza concert for himself, Marshall and Lily. As is their regular concert routine, Ted also buys some weed for them to smoke at the concert. However, pregnant Lily doesn't think that either she or Marshall should get high in her state. Quotes

Robin Scherbatsky: God, I wish last night never happened.
Barney Stinson: I don't.
Robin Scherbatsky: What do you mean?
Barney Stinson: What if this whole thing; it isn't the story of how we both made a horrible mistake and ruined our relationships. What if it's actually the story of how we got back together?
Robin Scherbatsky: OK, I'm gonna ask you one last time. Is this what you want?
Barney Stinson: It's what we both want. Why else are we rushing to tell them what we did? On a boat. That is a terrible idea!
Robin Scherbatsky: Barney, we tried this- and we failed. Why try again?
Barney Stinson: Because I haven't stopped thinking ...

Both heartbreaking and genius
14 November 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I know Barney kissed robin and all but to have him admit to his feelings for her in both his own amusing ways and the heartwarming way was awesome. I love this episode from begin to end because no matter how much I want robin and Barney to be together we do have to realize it's only 10 episodes into the season. The writers of HIMYM will not just give the viewers what the want to see it doesn't happens in real life and it doesn't happen in HIMYM. That's the Beaty of this show the moment you think you have all the mystery solve one action changes the future and it becomes so puzzling that you have to watch the next episode just to figure out yet another piece of the puzzle. HIMYM will continue for seasons to come as a hope and tge longer it stays on the more and more it becomes addictive. The concepts the plot and script is solid and I wouldn't change one bit of this amazing episode and this captivating show.

Ps is always good to see a different side of a character as solid as Barney, his weakness make us relate to him more. There is a Barney in all of us whether we embrace him or not
