Writer/Director Zack Ordynans and actor Tom Roy once shared a suite in a dorm at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. Tom provided a voiceover for one of Zack's earliest student films.

The very first footage shot for Palace Living was half of the last scene in the film. The other half of that same scene was the last footage shot for the film.

The main location in the film, Grandview Palace in Liberty, N.Y., burned down several months after principal photography was completed. Grandview Palace was formerly known as Browns Hotel, a popular Catskills resort during the post-war era. The resort was the site of performances by Jerry Lewis, Woody Allen, and many others, and has been featured in several other films.

Palace Living was shot entirely in New York (in the city and upstate), and is one of the lowest budgeted projects to ever receive financial support from the New York State Governor's Office for Motion Picture and Television Development.
