Cool use of Shakespeare
Gjackson7516 November 2011
Really cool mix of a Shakespeare sonnet in the modern setting. Its fairly gripping for a 10minute short, which as we know is surprisingly rare. The acting was great, both actors managed to develop the characters nicely over such a short time. There were also some really enjoyable shots especially the P.O.V stuff in the final scene. Its excellent to see people still re- inventing the classics, looking to history for inspiration rather than MTV. It was also good to watch a student short that isn't totally predictable. Not perfect by any means but a nice job all round and worth checking out, especially if you like Shakespeare. I hope to see it get a run at some festivals.

Interesting and fast moving

I really enjoyed this short after watching a DVD that a friend of mine had. She's a friend of James Woods, the director. While it is by no means technically perfect, it is thematically and stylistically ambitious and it seemed clear to me that Woods and the two lead actors really tried to make an original short. Both the actors were fantastic. I liked the use of Shakespeare but felt 'Glen' needed some more time to shift from being a bit of a loser to deciding on his extreme course of action. The film finished leaving some questions unanswered and this added to my enjoyment it. All in all, a really interesting and ambitious short film.
