In his new mission, agent 006 from British secret service MI6 is sent to Prague to take secret documents of a revolutionary type of transsonic blade - KM1280. But there is also a charming KGB spy Thermopamela, who wants the documents too.
Agent 006 is called off his case in Turkey and learns that due to austerity measures he is sacked from the British Secret Intelligence Service. Soon after, his old friend Felix Leiter lures him to join CIA. In his new mission, 006 heads off to the Institute of Thermomechanics at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic - the location of blade tests for a top-secret steam turbine. Under the cover of night 006 breaks into closely guarded laboratories to usurp the tests of the unique transonic turbine blade marked as KM1280. "Kvantum lopatek" is a nicely made short movie inspired by the movie series with James Bond, especially the movie "Quantum of Solace" with Daniel Craig. The movie makes fun of both the Bond-like movies and the current world of the scientific researchers, as the story takes place mostly at a research institute called "Institute of Thermomechanics" located probably in Prague in the Czech Republic. Even though the movie is obviously fully amateur piece of work the quality of the film is on a quite good level including camera, music, and even some special effects. The story of the movie has good dynamic and rather funny point at the end. Besides, the main actor is a fancy looking man who can easily compete with the original James Bond actors. I therefore highly recommend this movie.
