Return to Jurassic Park: The Next Step in Evolution (2011)

*** (out of 4)

The third and final documentary covering the making of JURASSIC PARK takes a closer look at the post-production and the aftermath of the smash hit. Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Dean Cundey, Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum are just some of the familiar faces interviewed about what the film has done for them and their reflections on it. They all talk about how happy they are that the film manages to gain new fans and how they enjoy hearing from people who really enjoyed what they were able to pull off. There's also some nice talk about the post-production stages including what it was like putting the sound effects and the score together. Spielberg talks about how he wasn't there when the score was done for the first time in his career because he was filming SCHINDLER'S LIST. Fans of JURASSIC PARK will certainly enjoy the interviews as well as the behind-the-scenes footage.
