Does the lack of travelling on Game Of Thrones bother the viewing audience? It seems to be something brought up consistently; the characters appear to fly around the continent of Westeros without much concern for travelling time. They move from location to location without any real time passing between set-ups. Granted, one of them has the only flying vehicle on the planet, and the others seem to be fairly accomplished sailors and travellers, but you can get only so far on a horse or boat...

Amazon Acquires Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Logan Lucky’ First-Run Streaming Rights

Amazon has clinched a pact with Steven Soderbergh making his forthcoming film “Logan Lucky” to Prime Video customers during its exclusive first-run Us streaming window.

The heist comedy is slated to hit theaters Aug. 18, 2017, and Amazon expects to release “Logan Lucky” on Prime Video during the first quarter of 2018. The film stars Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Riley Keough, Hilary Swank, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, and Daniel Craig.

In addition, Amazon has signed an exclusive two-year first-look deal for theatrical film projects from Fingerprint Releasing, the film distributor formed by Soderbergh and piloted by Dan Fellman, former president of domestic distribution for Warner Bros. Under the deal, Amazon will provide strategic promotion and advertising financing to augment the marketing of Fingerprint’s theatrical releases.

Soderbergh, whose “Logan Lucky” marks his return to film after a four-year hiatus, called Amazon “a fearless, flexible co-conspirator.”

Hulu's 'Shut Eye' Renewed for Season 2 — With New Showrunner (Exclusive)

Hulu is keeping its Eye open.

The streamer has handed out a second season renewal to drama Shut Eye, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. John Shiban (Hell on Wheels, Da Vinci's Demons) will take over as showrunner, replacing David Hudgins (Friday Night Lights), for the drama's 10-episode second season.

For his part, Shiban will reunite with exec producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein after collaborating with the duo on AMC's Breaking Bad. Sources note Shiban signed an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television.
