Nice animation Warning: Spoilers
"Lifeline" was quite interesting and well made animated short.

It was directed by Andress Salaff, who also works in one of my favorite cartoons "Regular Show". This short is a more serious work, with a captivating premise and fascinating development of the story, which leads into a moving ending.

the animation is pretty good, having a nice "retro" feeling that somewhat reminds me the works of Bill Plympton and films like "The Triplets of Belleville", with stylish human designs and beautiful sceneries.

Despite being brief, this short is a very nice experience to watch.

The result is pretty satisfying and very enjoyable to watch.

Clever little animation (SPOILERS)

Warning: Spoilers
A brilliant scientist has dedicated himself to reuniting with his true love who he lost some time ago. Using a machine that fires him through time and space, he explores other dimensions looking for her while all the time connected to his own via his lifeline.

Interesting little story here with this film – nothing amazing when you boil it down to a single line summary, but it still works. The film follows the scientist through a few dimensions before finally finding his true in what appears to be an afterlife of some sort – a place he cannot exist but then, by accident more than design, he ends up in anyway. As such it is quite moving to see but more importantly for me the animation is well delivered. From the overall concept of the machine to the manner of transporting between dimensions, it looks good and is cleverly designed. I loved the "jump" sequence but also the merging between dimensions in the second half of the film (where a road became underwater became a corn field).

Lifeline is well animated and moving in its simplicity. Easy to enjoy and well made.

...or touching, moving, brilliant, useful. A short animation about a man looking for, in different dimensions, the love of his life. Reference to Dante and his Beatrice or to "The Fountain" are obvious. But the film is an admirable work for more than references. For lovely drawings, for beautiful story, for the special atmosphere, for the harrowing and peaceful end. A film about love. And about the profound happiness. One of my favorite. Short, a real, in profound sense, great animation.
